It needs to be powerful enough for a house of 6 kids, dogs and a cat. Also very important, is that the belt be easy to replace. I have a miele vac. but the belt is so impossible to replace, I just want to get rid of it!!

What is a Ni-MH battery? how big powerful is it? Is it easy to obtain from supermarkets/hypermarkets?
