What is the absolute best vacuum cleaner to pick up dog hair?

I have dark red carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood floor in my home. I use swiffer when I can, but every vacuum I get is worn out and starts to clog up and smell within a few months. Granted, I’ve bought the Bissels, Hoovers and Dirt Devils, but I need something that works but isn’t the cost of a small car!

Go with a Dyson Animal…they’re the best, and have attachments for upholstery.

Roomba ,the robot vac.I have a cat and when I got my Roomba I had just vacuumed, I ran it just to see how it worked and was amazed at the hair it picked up.

I would go check out a 2-hand store one with a bristle brush in the head it shouldn’t be more than 20 skins if you know what I mean and try cleaning your vacuum filters and bags you’ll probably get better results you know what they say eh! a clean vacuum is a hard work-in one.lol

i have the hoover em-power vac, it’s bagless and it does a great job of picking up fur (i have 4 cats) it costs under $150.

I have an electrolux sweeper and it is the very best. Check your local home supply store for one. They are not as expensive as you would think.

Try to find a carpet rake – it looks like a giant plastic comb on a mop handle – and rake the hair off the carpet before vacuuming. I think I paid less than 10.00 for mine, but I can’t remember where I bought it. It works great – I have four cats and five dogs, who all shed like crazy, and I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this thing.
